surface convexity

I have an equation for a 3-d surface and I need to make sure that it is convex. I don't really have a clue how to go about it, any ideas?
Even a reference to a book is helpful if you have one. If you know how to do it, I'd love to learn, thanks.

Meshing Software

Hi All,

Meshing is an Important part of Numerical simulation and Almost all of us are using somekind of meshes. It will be very nice if those of you who are using some open source mesh generator in 2 and 3 dimensions could post the links to those mesh generators. To start with I am posting a few which I know about.

1. Simple Mesh Generator in Matlab Distmesh by Per-Olof Persson and Gilbert Strang.
2. Quake Triangular meshes in 2D.

3. Some other meshes.
